Military overruns Sayyaf camp in Sulu, kills suspected member

A suspected Abu Sayyaf member was killed while two Marines were wounded after a unit of the military’s Joint Task Force Comet, with the help of the Army’s Scout Rangers, overrun a camp of the terrorist group in Sulu, the military said on Sunday. In a text message, Western Mindanao Command head Lt. Gen. Ben Dolorfino said the encounter took place in the village of Panglayahan in Patikul town last Friday.
