Holy Week travelers told to lock houses, secure valuables

Travelers taking a break during the Holy Week were advised to lock their homes and secure their valuables. This was the advice offered by the Philippine National Police to travelers and tourists spending the Holy Week in the provinces. Radio dzBB reported Quezon City police director Chief Superintendent Elmo San Diego also ordered the deployment of added teams to bus terminals starting this week. San Diego urged residents to lock their houses and secure their valuables before leaving home for the Holy Week exodus. He also advised them to secure their liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) tanks lest they accidentally start fires. San Diego said he has ordered his men to conduct regular patrols around the city to guard against burglars. Meanwhile, he said added police teams will watch bus terminals to secure passengers leaving for the Holy Week vacation. - RJAB Jr., GMANews.TV
