2 killed, 4 hurt in Quezon City road crash

At least two people were killed while four were injured after a passenger jeep rammed a tricycle and taxi in Quezon City before dawn Tuesday. Radio dzBB reported that the incident occurred on San Mateo Road in Batasan Hills village. The report did not immediately name the fatalities — one passenger each from the jeep and the tricycle. On the other hand, the four injured were rushed to the General Malvar General Hospital. The report said jeep driver Roberto Vergara tried to flee but was cornered and arrested. He faces charges of reckless imprudence resulting in homicide, serious physical injuries and damage to property.
