Ex-partylist rep linked to illegal recruitment arrested in Pasig

After 14 years, a former party list representative linked to illegal recruitment was arrested on Tuesday after attending a court hearing in Pasig City. The National Bureau of Investigation served an arrest warrant on former Hanay ng Aping Pinoy (HAPI) Rep. Jaime Zarraga, Radio dzXL reported. Zarraga is the subject of an arrest warrant for syndicated estafa and large-scale illegal recruitment. His arrest stemmed from an arrest warrant issued by the Regional and Municipal Trial Courts of Makati and Nueva Ecija in 1996. The former party list representative had just attended a court hearing involving a case his firm filed against the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC). Zarraga chairs the Voice of Manila Broadcasting Corporation and Exodus Broadcasting, which have been allowed to use radio frequencies. - GMANews.TV
