2 killed in bus-truck collision in Batangas

At least two people were killed while several others were injured after a bus and a truck collided on the Southern Tagalog Arterial Road (STAR) in Batangas province Wednesday. Ibaan town police head Chief Inspector Pablo Aguda Jr. said the Dela Rosa bus overturned after colliding with the truck near the tollway. "Yung Dela Rosa bumaligtad sa may kalsada sa may creek (The bus flipped over near the creek)," Aguda said in an interview on dzBB radio.

Citing initial reports reaching him, he said that one of the fatalities was the driver of the truck. Several passengers were injured and rushed to a nearby hospital.
