Strong winds force National Grid's chopper to make emergency landing

A sudden gust of wind caused the chopper of the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) to make an emergency landing in Albay province, Bicol Tuesday afternoon, a police official said. Senior Superintendent William Macavinta, police director for Albay, said the passengers — Glen Mediavillo, Joseph Molit, Narciso Taguba — were supposed to inspect transmission lines in Gumaca, Quezon about 3 p.m. when strong winds prompted the pilot, Capt. Stuart Guevarra, to make an emergency landing. The bell chopper-206B landed at Peñafrancia, Daraga, Albay. No one was injured in the incident. - Aie Balagtas See, RJAB Jr., GMANews.TV
