Heat stroke claims radio reporter's life

The scorching summer heat has claimed the life of a Manila-based radio reporter, who died two days after collapsing due to heat stroke. Radio dzBB reported Friday that Romulo "Molly" Angeles died at a Manila hospital Thursday — two days after collapsing due to heat stroke at a press conference in Manila. Angeles, a reporter for dzME radio, never recovered from the heat stroke he suffered Tuesday. His remains were brought to Meycauayan City in Bulacan province. Last Tuesday, Metro Manila experienced its hottest day so far this year, at 36.1 degrees Celsius. State weather forecasters had warned of more hot weather in the next few weeks. — RSJ, GMANews.TV
