1 killed, 1 hurt in road crash in Quezon province

A tricycle driver was killed while his passenger was injured after a passenger bus dragged their vehicle in a freak accident in Quezon province Thursday. Radio dzXL reported the incident occurred along the Maharlika Highway at Lusacan village in Tiaong town, where a part of the bus snagged on the tricycle while trying to overtake it. Killed was tricycle driver Malbert Laydia, 28, who sustained head injuries. His passenger, Kenn Owen Salvago, 15, was rushed to the Candelaria Doctors Hospital. Police arrested the bus driver identified as Roger Badong, who is now facing criminal charges for the incident. — LBG, GMANews.TV
