Boy run over by fire truck during Tondo campaign sortie

A campaign sortie turned tragic at the weekend after a mini-fire truck ran over and killed a four-year-old boy trying to get candies from a candidate in Tondo, Manila. Radio dzXL reported on Sunday the victim, initially identified as Dirk Pacheco, had been run over while trying to get candies from councilor bet Peter Ong. The boy was rushed to the Mary Johnston Medical Hospital, but he succumbed to fractures in several parts of the body. The report said Ong’s camp had promised to shoulder the boy’s hospital and funeral expenses. — NPA, GMANews.TV
