Cotabato child finds bomb across street

Tension gripped a neighborhood in Cotabato City on Sunday night after a 12-year-old child discovered an improvised explosive device across the street. Radio dzXL reported that the child had discovered the device, which was connected to a Nokia 3310 cell phone, inside a plastic bag. Residents alerted the city police, which sent a team to dismantle the explosive. Initial investigation showed the explosive was a pipe bomb. Police had yet to find leads. — NPA, GMANews.TV
