Gays beat mugger black and blue in QC — police

A mugger had the tables turned against him early Thursday after friends of a homosexual he tried to rob in Quezon City ganged up on him. Radio dzXL reported Marlon Silvestre was beaten black and blue after the incident at Empire Street in Payatas village in Quezon City. Initial investigation showed victim Rogelio Calopes and his gay friends were on their way to attend a wake when Silvestre blocked their path. At knifepoint, Silvestre grabbed Calopes' bag containing clothes, a cell phone, and cash. But Calopes' friends ganged up on him, beating him up before turning him over to the authorities. Recovered from Silvestre was the bladed weapon he used. He now faces charges of robbery and violation of the election ban on guns and bladed weapons. - LBG, RJAB Jr., GMANews.TV
