Two suspected robbers were killed in a clash with Biñan police before dawn on Sunday, shortly after the two allegedly held up a resident. Sr. Supt. Manolito Labador of the Laguna Police Department said mobile patrol cops responding to a call from victim Ronaldo S Abonite of San Francisco Village in Biñan, Laguna caught sight of the robbers on board a motorcycle at around 4 a.m. Police tried to stop them, but instead of yielding, the robbers allegedly fired at the policemen. The lawmen returned fire, killing the two robbers. Police Officer 3 Crispin Antonio was wounded. Recovered from the suspects were two .38 caliber pistols, a mobile phone, a wallet with money and a Honda Wave motorcycle without a plate number. Police said the motorbike might have been stolen.
