Fire hits residential area along E. Rodriguez Ave. in QC

Traffic at a key road in Quezon City was snarled on Sunday afternoon after a fire of undetermined origin hit a residential area there. Radio dzRH reported that the fire across De Los Santos Hospital along E. Rodriguez Avenue in Quezon City had reached general alarm as of 4:47 p.m. While there was no initial report of casualty or damage, firefighters had a hard time battling the blaze as strong winds fanned the flames. Several motorists bound for Manila were stuck in traffic as residents who tried to save their belongings clogged the road.
