Perlas mulling suit against Pulse Asia

Nicanor Perlas, one of the laggards in presidential poll surveys, is currently consulting his legal team about filing a lawsuit against Pulse Asia for supposedly "manipulating survey results." The pollster refused to enter his name when his Cebu-based supporters were asked who their presidential bet was, Perlas said, adding his name was excluded from the list of presidential candidates in the survey. “Pulse Asia, you are betraying the trust of the Filipino people by engaging in corrupt survey practices," Perlas said in a statement. Earlier, Bagumbayan standard bearer Senator Richard Gordon sued Pulse Asia and SWS and asked a court to stop them from releasing their pre-election survey results. Additionally, in a recent show, Mel & Jay conducted a survey among their studio audience. They discovered that 59 percent will vote for the tail-enders in the presidential survey, including Perlas. “It is clear that surveys do not reflect the reality on the ground. Survey outfits are manipulating peoples’ minds, conditioning them to vote for certain candidates they manufacture and project as front runners," Perlas warned. Perlas advised Filipinos not to be manipulated and brainwashed by polling organizations and their surveys. “Vote according to your conscience and your highest aspirations for our country, and not what surveys dictate you to do. Vote for those who are clean from the dirt of traditional politics. When millions declare their independence from surveys and traditional politicians, and vote for the best and most qualified candidate, then the best presidential candidate will win. This will be the beginning of the era of new politics in the country. This will be the dawn of the new Philippines that millions are longing for," Perlas said. - RJAB Jr., GMANews.TV
