5 drown, 2 missing after banca capsizes off Quezon province

At least five students were reported killed while two others were missing after a banca they were riding capsized off Quezon province Wednesday. Radio dzRH reported the victims were among 17 passengers, most of them from La Concordia College. The fatalities were not immediately identified. The other passengers were rushed to the Claro M. Recto Hospital in Infanta town in Quezon province. Local authorities were still interviewing the victims, many of whom were in state of shock, the report said. — LBG, GMANews.TV
