PAGASA: 37˚C temperature looms over Metro Manila

Barely a week after going through the hottest day of the year so far, Metro Manila residents may have to brace for another 37-degree temperature in the next two days. The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA)said temperatures may range from 25 to 37˚C Wednesday and Thursday. In its extended weather forecast Wednesday, PAGASA said temperatures will cool a bit on Friday and Saturday with the weather at its hottest at 36 degrees. However, temperatures are expected go up to 37˚C on Sunday, the day before Election Day. On April 28, Metro Manila experienced the hottest day of the year so far at 37.3˚C, isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms. In Tuguegarao City, temperatures will range from 23 to 37˚C on Wednesday and Thursday. Meanwhile, PAGASA said an easterly wave is affecting Mindanao. "Mindanao and the eastern section of Visayas will experience mostly cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms. The rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon or evening," it said in its 5 a.m. bulletin. — LBG, GMANews.TV
