2 supporters of mayoral bet killed, 1 wounded in Zambo Sur shooting—report

At least two supporters of a mayoral candidate in Zamboanga del Sur were killed while another was wounded in a shooting incident Friday. Radio dzXL on Saturday evening cited belated police reports identifying the fatalities as Hashim Abang Maguindra and Hussain Maguindra Manarasal. The two died on the spot during the shooting at Labangan City in Zamboanga del Sur at 3 p.m. Friday at Purok Gin-awa in barangay Tawagan Norte. Wounded in the incident was Badal Muhammad Ali. All three victims were habal-habal (tricycle) drivers and supporters of Wilson "Kitty" Nandang, Liberal Party candidate for Labangan city mayor, the report said. Initial investigation showed two men on a motorcycle shot the victims. Police recovered from the crime scene seven spent shells and one live ammunition from an M16 rifle.—JV, GMANews.TV
