7 injured in Cavite explosion

Seven people were injured in an explosion that destroyed the ceiling of a house in Cavite province Saturday, radio dzXL reported Sunday. The explosion happened at about 7:30 p.m. in the Balteza family's house along Trece Martirez Road in Justineville Subdivision, Panapaan VII village, Bacoor, according to the police. Neighbors rushed seven members of the family, who suffered injuries in the arms and knees, to a nearby hospital. The police are looking into what caused the explosion, and are not ruling out the possibility the incident may be related to the May 10 elections, radio dzXL said. —VS, GMANews.TV
