PCOS machine has a Twitter account, makes fun of its own glitches
Tempers flared and votersâ patience was tested by long queues, humid polling centers, and irregular votersâ lists, as the country held its historic first nationwide automated elections on Monday. But just as the polls were about to close at 7 p.m., a Filipino netizen was able to inject humor into the situation with the creation of the PCOSmachine Twitter account that supposedly voices the sentiments of a Precinct Count Optical Scan machine. âPlease don't blame us PCOS machines. We're doing our best. Just shade the bilog na hugis itlog and I'll do the rest for you," said one of its tweets, referring to automated poll machine malfunctions that delayed the voting process. âHearing talk that voting will be extended until 11pm. COMELEC better pay me overtime," read another. âCannot wait for liquor ban to end. I need a drink," it also said. Only hours after the Twitter accountâs creation, PCOSmachine already had 3,650 followers as of 9:15 p.m. on Monday. - JV/HS, GMANews.TV
