Cebu town makes history as latest to end automated voting

A town in Cebu province made history Tuesday, as among the last - if not the last - to finish in the country's first nationwide automated elections. Radio dzBB's Cebu affiliate reported early Tuesday the last voter in a precinct in San Fernando town cast her vote past 5 a.m. - 20 hours after the 12-hour voting began at 7 a.m. Monday. The report said voters blamed the slow pace of the voting process to the policy of the Board of Election Inspectors (BEIs) to allow only 10 voters in the voting area at a time.
