Congress suspends joint session

The Congress, sitting as National Board of Canvassers (NBC), suspended its joint session late Tuesday afternoon after approving the proposed rules for the canvassing of votes for president and vice president. The session will resume Wednesday at 2 p.m. Expected to attend Wednesday's session are officials from the Commission on Elections; Smartmatic, the technology provider in the recently concluded automated elections; and IT experts. — Mark D.
