Noynoy's staff swamped with job applications

Malacañang is still a month away, but the Office of President-apparent Sen. Benigno Simeon "Noynoy" Aquino III is fast turning into a job fair, with his staff now swamped with job applications. At least 163 applications have been received since last week, or an average of 20 applications a day, a source familiar with the matter said. Many of the applications were submitted at Aquino's house at Times Street in Quezon City, with some applicants personally handing over their resumes. Some of the "walk-in" applicants included retired police and military officials, the source said. The source also recounted some "visitors" to Aquino's house provided comic relief of sorts. One of them had introduced himself as James Bond, although he went there not for a job but for the chance to congratulate Aquino. Last Monday, a woman visited the Aquino residence, requesting transport fare to her home in Sariaya town in Quezon province. - RJAB Jr., GMANews.TV
