'Environmentalist' wants to be Noynoy's traveling envoy vs graft

A self-proclaimed environmentalist joined Thursday the list of applicants for jobs under the prospective government of president-apparent Sen. Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III, wanting to be his “traveling envoy" against graft. Roy Arzadon, who brought his daughter with him, said he wanted a job that allows him to travel as a representative against corruption.

"With due respect, if ever (I will) be given the fair consideration for my intention, select me to the position in which I can travel from all corners of our country, an envoy of yours and a trusted man, to advise you of stopping corruption (your winning motto)," he said in a handwritten letter. Curiously, Arzadon addressed his application not only to Aquino but also to two personalities perceived close to him - sister Ballsy Cruz and civil society convener Vicente Romano III. Aquino had said his sisters are "helping" him in his selection of potential people to help him run the government. In his handwritten letter, Arzadon congratulated Aquino and told him of his "desire to serve simultaneously" and help him realize his "vision of good governance." Since he opened a wide lead over his rivals in the presidential race, Aquino had been swamped with applications for jobs under his government. Aquino ran on a platform of good governance where he vowed to stamp out corruption. — LBG, GMANews.TV
