Iloilo official admits playing lead role in sex video

A vice mayor-elect in a town in Iloilo province has admitted to playing a lead role in a sex video circulating on the Internet. Lambunao town council (Sangguniang Bayan) member and vice mayor-elect Cesar Gonzales said he was the man having sex with a woman in a video. “I was not really conscious about it because actually we were lovers. I did not think that she will do it [record their love making]," Gonzales told GMA TV-6, according to a report on Iloilo-based news site, The News Today. According to the report, the woman involved in the sex scandal is also a resident of Lambunao town. The video first circulated sometime in October 2009, months before the actual campaign period started, the report said. Although the video did not affect his candidacy — especially since he won the elections — Gonzales admitted his family was really affected by the issue, he said.
