One person was wounded after armed robbers struck in at least two separate incidents on a rainy Thursday in Metro Manila, radio reports said. In Manila, radio dzBB's Carlo Mateo reported motorcycle-riding men shot and wounded an accountant who was withdrawing money from an automated teller machine (ATM). Victim Eric Obleada said he was withdrawing money from an ATM near De La Salle University near the Vito Cruz area when the suspects tried to rob him. They shot him when he tried to fight back. Obleada was rushed to the Ospital ng Maynila for treatment. In Las Piñas City, at least four armed men posing as policemen robbed a logistics firm of more than P20,000 in cash and valuables before dawn Thursday. Radio dwIZ reported the still-unidentified men introduced themselves as policemen and members of the Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) to personnel of the logistics firm at Dalandan Street in Golden Acres. Initial investigation showed the men wore denim pants and black shirts with "SWAT" printed over them in holding up Sakuma Logistics Philippines. The men took the employees' cell phones and P20,000 cash, the report said. Recovered from the site were ammunition for cal-.38 and cal-.45 handguns. Police are looking into whether the suspects are remnants of the Alvin Flores Gang, which gained notoriety for posing as lawmen before robbing a business establishment. The gang was believed neutralized some months back following the reported death of Flores following an encounter with lawmen in Cebu.
