Suspected robber shot dead in Pasay

A suspected robber was shot dead after an encounter with police in Pasay City shortly after noon Thursday. Allan Edward Ferrer, 27, died of gunshot wounds in the head and the back, Radio dzXL reported. However, an unidentified companion of the suspect managed to escape. Ferrer had been linked to the local drug trade in parts of the city, police said. Initial investigation showed police flagged down Ferrer along Casino St. in Palanan village, Makati City. Ferrer tried to speed off, triggering a running firefight that ended in Pasay City. Recovered from the scene was a caliber .45 pistol. - RJAB Jr./JV, GMANews.TV
