Report: NPA insurgents burn cell site in Masbate

Some 20 suspected New People's Army rebels torched a cell site in Esperanza town in Masbate province in Bicol before noon Friday. A report on dzXL radio Friday night said the rebels attacked the cell site of Globe Telecoms in Sitio Abante in Iligan village at about 11:30 a.m. Initial investigation showed the NPA rebels arrived at the cell site with containers of gasoline. No one was reported injured in the incident but several Globe subscribers complained of poor service, the report said. — LBG, GMANews.TV
