Palawan closes testing center for teachers' licensure exams

Prospective teachers in Palawan province are in for a whammy after the Professional Regulation Commission closed down its testing center for teachers' licensure exams on the island. The closure was due to questions surrounding an alleged leak at the Licensure Examination for Teachers there in 2009, radio dzBB's Palawan affiliate reported on Monday. Authorities cited an alleged leak in exam results at the elementary level as the reason for the closure. The PRC also said that teachers seeking to take the licensure exams should bring and submit their applications to the PRC main office in Manila, the report said. Would-be teachers are to take their licensure examinations on September 26 this year. — RJAB Jr., GMANews.TV
