6 die, 6 hurt in predawn Cavite road accident

At least six people were killed while six others were injured after a sport-utility vehicle they were riding hit an electric post in Cavite before dawn Tuesday. Dasmariñas City police head Superintendent Marcos Badilla said their initial investigation indicated some of the victims were drunk at the time of the crash. "Nakasakay sila sa Toyota Prado with 12 on board. Bumangga sila sa Meralco post at anim ang patay ... As per our investigator nakainom ang iba doon (The 12 victims were riding a Toyota Prado and they hit a post of the Manila Electric Company. As per our investigation, some of the victims were drunk)," Badilla said in an interview on dzBB radio. He did not immediately identify the victims, but said some of the six injured were in critical condition.
