Personalities start arriving for Noy-Bi inauguration

A number of personalities from former and incumbent government officials to celebrities started arriving at the Quirino Grandstand in Manila, hours before the oath-taking of President-elect Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino and Vice President-elect Jejomar Binay. Singer Jim Paredes announced that former President Fidel Ramos had arrived at the grandstand, although it was not clear whether former First Lady Amelita Ramos was with the former Philippine leader. Sen. Francis "Kiko" Pangilinan arrived around past 9 a.m. at the venue with wife Sharon Cuneta, and their three children KC Concepcion (Cuneta's daughter with Gabby Concepcion), Frankie, and Miel. Shortly after the Pangilinans, re-appointed Foreign Affairs Secretary Alberto Romulo also arrived and took his seat at the grandstand. A number of boy scouts also trooped to Luneta, in an apparent show of support for Binay, who is the president of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines. Other personalities seen arriving early at the Rizal Park (Luneta) were "Juana Change" (Mae Paner in real life) and former Philippine Forest Corp president Rodolfo "Jun" Lozada Jr., who blew the whistle on the $329-million national broadband network deal. — Mark Merueñas, Sophia Dedace/LBG/RSJ, GMANews.TV
