Silver cleaner kills baby girl in Manila

A one-year-old girl died in Manila on Sunday after accidentally drinking silver cleaner that she mistook for water, police said. The baby girl whose name was withheld by the police died upon arrival at the Ospital ng Maynila, according to SPO2 Paul Dennis Javier of the Manila Police District (MPD). He said the incident occurred around 11 a.m. inside the victim’s house at the PNR Compound in Paco, Manila. The parents of the infant, Crisanto and Miriam Mabingnay, refused to have the case investigated by the police. “I believe that my child accidentally drank silver cleaner that had been mixed into a glass of water and a police investigation is unnecessary," the parents said in their waiver submitted to MPD. – KBK, GMANews.TV
