AgriNurture buys exporter Hansung Agro

Listed fruit and vegetable grower AgriNurture Inc. has acquired mango exporter Hansung Agro Productions Corp. for P10 million. The acquisition will enable AgriNurture to expand its export operations to Japan and Korea, and secure its position as a leading exporter of Philippine mangoes, the company said in a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange. "Hansung is engaged in the business of trading, import and export of goods such as agricultural products on wholesale basis. It is one of the few accredited companies that have the capacity and license to export fresh mangoes to Japan and Korea," AgriNurture said. AgriNurture shares gained P0.25 to close at P16.25 apiece Tuesday. AgriNurture also exports bananas, pineapple, and papaya to Hong Kong, China, the Middle East, and Europe. —VS, GMANews.TV
