2-ton hot meat seized near Pasay slaughterhouse

Authorities seized at least two tons of hot or "double dead" meat near a slaughterhouse in Pasay City before dawn Friday. Radio dzBB said city officials suspect the meat might be mixed with the ones coming from the slaughterhouse and sold in the city's public market. City veterinarian Ronaldo Bernasor cited initial information indicating the hot meat was seized near the abattoir in the Tramo area. But the police and city veterinarian's team failed to catch the owners, who managed to flee before the meat was seized.
