For the latest Philippine news stories and videos, visit GMANews.TV Metro Manila police chief Director Roberto Rosales said the raid stemmed from interrogations of drug ring members arrested in past raids in Metro Manila. "Ito follow-up operation matapos ang ating raid sa mga shabu laboratory lalo na yung sa Taguig noon. Kinonek-connect natin ang resulta ng ating interrogation. Nakakuha tayo ng information at tinahi-tahi ito. Mahabang proseso ginawa natin dito, talagang purely intelligence work (This was basically a follow-up operation based on past raids of shabu laboratories especially in Taguig City. We put together the information we got from interrogating ring members. This was a long process)," he said in an interview on dwIZ radio. In a later interview with GMA News' Unang Balita, Rosales said the police have also seized several equipment that have not been used. Also, he said investigation on the five Chinese are already on. "Bene-verify pa natin kung kailan pumasok sa bansa ang mga ito. Kaya nakikipag-ugnayan tayo sa Bureau of Immigration and Deportation (We are now coordinating with the BID to know when these foreigners entered the country)," Rosales said. — LBG, GMANews.TV
