8 Koreans visiting area where relatives died hurt in Benguet

BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya - Eight Korean nationals seeking to visit the site where their relatives died were hurt after their bus reportedly encountered a mechanical problem while cruising along Marcos Highway in Taloy Sur, Tuba, Benguet Monday. In a report over Bombo Radyo, Inspector Joseph Cayadan, Marcos Highway police community precinct supervisor said the bus came from Baguio City and was on its way to Pangasinan when the bus’ brakes malfunctioned, forcing its driver, Constancio Wascian, to sideswipe a mountain wall for an emergency stop. Luckily, Cayadan said that of the 26 Koreans who were on board the bus, only eight were hurt. The tourists were reportedly on their way to Bolinao town to visit the place were their relatives perished in a road accident two years ago. Ten Koreans including a seven-year-old girl died when a van they were riding in crashed into a warehouse in Bolinao back in 2008. - RJAB Jr., GMANews.TV
