P50M marijuana destroyed in Ilocos sur

At least P50 million worth of marijuana plants and seedlings were destroyed in a raid by anti-drug operatives on a plantation in Ilocos Sur over the weekend. Radio dzBB reported Tuesday Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency agents uprooted some 250,000 marijuana plants and found 50,000 seedlings at the plantation in Sugpon town. PDEA officials said the marijuana plants and seedlings were found within some 3.5 hectares of land. –VVP, GMANews.TV
