Air France, Flybe annnounce new tie-up

PARIS — Passengers of Air France and Britain's budget carrier Flybe will have access to new routes from October following a code-share agreement between both airlines. The two airlines said in a statement Tuesday that the deal will allow Flybe passengers to buy tickets for five additional routes between the UK and France and seven new domestic French routes — attractive to Britons with second homes in sunnier France. Flybe customers will also have access to 11 international routes from Paris' Charles de Gaulle airport. Air France will strengthen its position in Britain, Europe's biggest market, through 45 new links between France and the UK and 17 domestic British routes. —AP
