RP cagebelles bow to Thais in a controversial match

Thailand brought a wrong set of uniform in its game against Careline-Pilipinas in the ASEAN School Games in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Instead of winning the game via forfeiture, the RP cagebelles had to sweat it out against the host team and lost the match, 77-87,. The Thais, who will meet the Malaysians in the finals for the gold medal, arrived at the gymnasium with a wrong uniform, prompting Careline-Pilipinas officials to call the attention of tournament officials. But instead of disqualifying the Thais from playing, league officials allowed Malaysia to lend its uniform to the host squad, much to the dismay of Pilipinas’ chief backer Dioceldo Sy. Led by Danica Jose and Tere Aseron, who combined for 41 points, 16 rebounds and four assists, the Nationals rallied from a 30-point deficit (73-43) in the third period, cutting the lead to as low as seven.
