Cebu Pacific flight makes priority landing at NAIA

A domestic Cebu Pacific flight made a priority landing Sunday afternoon due to still undisclosed reasons, a television report said. All 72 passengers and four crew members of Cebu Pacific flight 5J509 were all safe, according to James Velasquez in his report on GMA News’ “24 Oras." The incident occurred at about 4 p.m. at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal III, the report said.

The airline management was quoted as saying in the report that priority landing was made as a “precautionary measure." It said a priority landing is different from emergency landing, which requires the deployment of all emergency units on the ground. The report said the airline management is now investigating the reason behind the incident. – KBK, GMANews.TV
