PNoy goes ‘malling’ with nephews, nieces

President Benigno “Noynoy" Aquino III took a break from his official duties and spent his Sunday with family, enjoying lunch with his sisters and joining his nephews and nieces for a stroll in a mall. Aquino, a bachelor, left his residence on Times St. in Quezon City at around 12:30 p.m. and refused to be interviewed by the media waiting for him outside the gate. He went straight to the house of his elder sister, Ma. Elena “Ballsy" Aquino-Cruz, at Green Meadows in Ortigas Center in Pasig City where the Aquino family had their weekly lunch. After the luncheon, Aquino and some of his nephews and nieces went to the nearby Shangri-La Plaza Mall in Mandaluyong City where he bought some compact discs on jazz music before returning to Times Street. Aquino is expected to move to Bahay Pangarap in Malacañang Park on July 28, or as soon as the renovations there are finished. Presidential spokesman Edwin Lacierda said this week, Aquino would meet his Cabinet to discuss his first State of the Nation Address (SONA) on July 26. Lacierda said there would be two Cabinet meetings this week that would focus on the SONA. - KBK, GMANews.TV
