Aquino spokesman vows fewer 'miscues' among Palace communicators

As the Presidential Communications Group continues to take shape, Malacañang promised Friday there would be fewer internal "miscues" among presidential spokespersons. Presidential spokesman Edwin Lacierda said the smooth flow of information would be partly due to his office being part of the Communications Group, which will craft messages to be disseminated. "I'm part of messaging and the Office of the Presidential Spokesperson is part of the Communications Group (so) ang di nagtutugma [ng mga mensahe] mababawasan (so the misunderstandings that plagued past spokespersons will be minimized)," Lacierda said in an interview on dzBB radio. He was referring to miscues among spokespersons of past presidents, which had been blamed on their failure to coordinate with each other. Lacierda said the Communications Group will now have two lines, one to craft messages and one to disseminate the messages. As presidential spokesman, Lacierda said he straddles both lines, helping craft the message and disseminating it as spokesman. — LBG/RSJ, GMANews.TV
