2 aftershocks rock Moro Gulf in Mindanao anew
At least two aftershocks rocked parts of the Moro Gulf early Tuesday, three days after a magnitude-6.9 quake jolted this area in Mindanao. The United States Geological Survey said one aftershock was recorded at magnitude 5.7 at 7:06 a.m., with the epicenter at 130 km east-southeast of Zamboanga. It was also 135 km west-southwest of Cotabato, 135 km south-southwest of Pagadian, or 915 km south-southeast of Manila. Earlier, radio dzBB reported the Philippine Institute of VOlcanology and Seismology recorded a magnitude-5.1 quake at 12:37 a.m. Tuesday, with the epicenter at 75 km southwest of Cotabato City. — LBG/RSJ, GMANews.TV
