Three nabbed for stealing human bones from Bacolod cemetery

Three men were arrested for allegedly stealing human bones from a local cemetery in Bacolod City to sell to an unidentified buyer. According to a report of the Visayan Daily Star on Wednesday, police found the three suspects with 10 sacks of human bones around 10:00 p.m. the previous day. Those arrested were Hardy Treyes Ombi-on, 33, a resident inside the cemetery; John Mark Mullner Flores, 19; and tricycle driver Eleazar Tanghal Genon, 32. Investigator-on-case PO2 Sherwin Rojas said police grew suspicious after they spotted a tricycle carrying several sacks out of the Burgos Cemetery. Upon inspection, the sacks revealed human bones. The suspects admitted the bones were to be sold to a buyer at Rosario Heights in Bacolod but did not say what they would be used for. –VVP, GMANews.TV
