Arroyo to attend her 1st House session Monday

Former President and now Pampanga Rep. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo will attend her first session at the House of Representatives on Monday, her spokesperson said. Mrs. Arroyo was absent at the opening session of the 15th Congress on Monday, when her successor, President Benigno Simeon Aquino III, delivered his first State of the Nation Address (SONA). Mrs. Arroyo left the country Sunday to accompany her husband, former First Gentleman Jose Miguel Arroyo, to Hong Kong for a medical checkup. The Arroyo couple returned to the Philippines late Wednesday night. Juan Miguel “Mikey" and Camaries Sur Rep. Diosdado “Dato" and brother-in-law Negros Occidental Rep. Ignacio “Iggy" Arroyo.
