Four flights of Cebu Pacific Air were cancelled on Thursday afternoon due to inclement weather caused by tropical depression Domeng. According to Cebu Pacific’s Twitter account, the following flights bound for Visayas and Mindanao were cancelled due to bad weather: 5J887/888 Manila to Cotabato 5J443/444 Cebu to Pagadian 5J899/900 Manila to Caticlan 5J627/628 Manila to Dumaguete A flight bound for Busuanga Island in Palawan was also earlier sent back to Manila due to poor weather conditions on the island. Another flight bound for Caticlan in Aklan was also diverted to Kalibo also due to bad weather. The Cebu Pacific management assured affected passengers they will be given top priorities in the airline’s next flights once weather conditions improve. According to the latest update from the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), Domeng continues to weaken as it moves closer to mainland Luzon, where 17 areas have been placed under Storm Signal No. 1. However, state weather forecasters spotted on Wednesday morning a new low pressure area off the coast of Luzon, which can also possibly develop into a new cyclone. –VVP, GMANews.TV
