Magnitude-4.7 quake hits Moro Gulf — USGS


A magnitude-4.7 quake rocked parts of the Moro Gulf in Mindanao shortly after midnight Saturday, but there was no initial report of damage or casualty. The United States Geological Survey (USGS) said the quake was recorded at 12:10 a.m. Sunday, with the epicenter at 95 km southwest of Cotabato. It said the epicenter was also 145 km south-southeast of Pagadian, 165 km west-northwest of General Santos City, or 945 km south-southeast of Manila. A magnitude-6.4 quake rocked the Moro Gulf area last July 24. More than 200 aftershocks had hit the area since then. — LBG, GMANews.TV
