Friday the 13th unlucky for van driver at SLEX

Friday the 13th proved unlucky indeed for a van driver after his vehicle blew a tire and turned on its side along the South Luzon Expressway before dawn Friday. Radio dzBB's Roland Bola reported the van (RHB-626) was delivering bottles of liquor from Canlubang in Laguna to Pier 18 in Manila when it crashed. The driver, initially identified as Gaspar Dapinid, said he was cruising at the northbound portion of SLEX between Biñan and Southwoods when the van's right rear tire exploded. Still, Dapinid considered himself lucky that he was unhurt, and that the incident did not hurt anyone. — RSJ, GMANews.TV
