Report: 1 killed, 1 arrested in foiled Las Piñas holdup try

A suspected robber was killed while his companion was arrested following what police said was a foiled holdup try on a commercial establishment in Las Piñas City Monday. Police Officer 2 Jaime Trampe of the Las Piñas police said the suspects shot it out with a police team during the holdup attempt near the city hall. "Yung isa tinakbo sa ospital at ang isa huli (One of the suspects was rushed to a hospital while the other was arrested)," Trampe said on dzBB radio. A separate report by dzBB's Denver Trinidad cited reports identifying the fatality as a certain Dennis, and the arrested suspect as Raymund Dacungan. Trampe said their initial investigation showed the incident occurred at a coffee shop in Pamplona II, along the Alabang-Zapote Road. — RSJ, GMANews.TV
