Dell Philippines launches new laptops for business customers

Dell Philippines yesterday launched in the country its new range of laptop computers for business users, the Vostro 3000 series. At a press conference in Makati, Dell Philippines unveiled to the public its Vostro 3000 series of laptops targeted at small- and medium-sized business (SMB) customers. The Vostro 3000 series features Intel Core processors across the line, with an optional Core i7 Quad Core chip option in its top-of-the-line Vostro 3700. Other optional features include high-definition WLED screens, up to 1GB of NVIDIA GeForce discreet graphics memory, and built-in HDMI support. Dell is banking on increased sales from small- and mid-sized businesses which are just now recovering from the US' economic recession. "Small and mid-sized firms are returning to the PC market after a year in the recessionary wilderness, and they are ready for the kinds of capabilities that will get them to the next level of productivity," Dell's VP of SMB research was quoted in a press release. Pricing and available hardware options for the various Vostro 3000 models for the local market were unavailable as of press time. - GMANews.TV
