5 hurt in freak road accident in Pasig City

At least five people were reported injured in a freak predawn accident involving a passenger jeep and a forklift in Pasig City. Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) rescue team member April Go said the incident occurred at about 1 a.m. at C-5 intersection near Tiendesitas shopping center. "Sumabit [ang jeep] sa fork ng forklift. Nabangga niya, sumabit at tumagilid (The jeep got caught in the forklift's fork, flipped over and fell on its side)," MMDA’s Go said in an interview on dzBB radio. She said injuries suffered by the five passengers were minor. Two were brought to The Medical City while three merely had X-rays taken, she said.
